This isn\u2019t just a political statement, it\u2019s personal. I\u2019m a lifelong Conservative Republican, and for the past decade, I\u2019ve watched the party I once stood proudly with morph into something I barely recognize. What used to be a movement rooted in principle has been hijacked by theatrics, grievance, and blind loyalty. And I\u2019m done pretending it\u2019s okay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I still believe in law and order, fiscal discipline, personal responsibility, and protecting families. But I also believe in truth, decency, and the courage to call out hypocrisy\u2014even when it\u2019s coming from my own side. What\u2019s flying under the MAGA banner today isn\u2019t conservatism. Its chaos wrapped in a flag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ever since Barack Obama took office, Republicans started freaking out. They rebranded themselves as the Tea Party, and over time, that reactionary energy festered into something uglier and more dangerous: MAGA. It\u2019s no longer about policy\u2014it\u2019s about spectacle. It\u2019s about \u201cowning the libs,\u201d which, let\u2019s be honest, just sounds stupid. That\u2019s not leadership. That\u2019s playground politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I keep getting bombarded with right-wing propaganda from what I can only call the Ohio MAGA Party, not the Republican Party I believed in. And I\u2019ve had enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ohioans are exhausted. We\u2019re tired of the blame games, the partisan finger pointing, and the endless distractions while real problems go unresolved. Crime isn\u2019t a campaign slogan\u2014it\u2019s a community crisis. And solving it takes more than soundbites. It takes accountability, collaboration, and leadership from both sides of the aisle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let\u2019s talk about the selective outrage. One man gets shot and the entire Republican machine goes into mourning. But thousands of children are shot every year in this country, and there\u2019s no outrage, no mourning\u2014just a cold \u201cget over it.\u201d That\u2019s not leadership. That\u2019s moral failure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve been sick to my stomach watching what\u2019s happened to the party I once stood with. The Republican Party I believed in, grounded in principle and purpose, has been hijacked. You didn\u2019t stay levelheaded. You turned it into MAGA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you\u2019re serious about restoring safety and rebuilding trust, stop the distractions. Reject the nonsense. Commit to real solutions. Because we the people are tired of the excuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And to every elected official reading this, Republican or Democrat, it\u2019s time to grow up. It\u2019s time to put an end to the nonsense. The people deserve unity, not division. Leadership, not theatrics. Action not excuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
